OEC Engenharia has dozens of PCD job openings for candidates from Rio de Janeiro. Opportunities were opened together with Senai, to work at Prosub.

A OEC Engineering and Construction announced the opening of enrollment in its learning program focused exclusively on people with disabilities (PCD). To the PCD job openings are carried out in partnership with the National Service of Industrial Learning, selecting 40 people to work on the works contracted by the Brazilian Navy within the Submarine Development Program (Prosub), in Itajaí (RJ).

Areas for PCD job openings made available by OEC Engenharia 

Of the total of PCD job openings open for Prosub, 20 are for administrative activities and another 20 for those interested in working at the construction site. Among the benefits provided by OEC Engenharia for contracted professionals are transportation vouchers, a dental plan and a health plan.

As inscriptions are valid for candidates aged 16 and over and run until October 20. According to the director of People and Planning at OEC Engenharia, Ludmila Lavigne, the program in partnership with Prosub and Senai came about with a genuine demand from the company, which hopes to train and retain talent after completing the course.

For Lavigne, the company is reinforcing inclusive recruitment strategies, believing that the engineering sector has a lot to grow with this focus on equity actions and with the development of efficient initiatives to attract new diverse talents.

The course and recruitment process for PCD job vacancies were developed by Senai. The apprenticeship program takes place in the municipality of Itajaí, uniting future Prosub program apprentices. Those interested in registering must access the website of OEC Engenharia.

O Submarine Development Program (Prosub) was created in 2008 between Brazil and France, providing for the transfer of French technology for the development of four conventional submarines, powered by diesel-electric engines, and a submarine that would use nuclear energy, in addition to a shipyard and a naval base .

The purpose of Prosub is to protect the Blue Amazon, an area that is approximately 8,5 km long, along which the Brazilian Jurisdictional Waters (AJB) extend, totaling an approximate area of ​​4,5 million km², which contains biological and mineral riches threatened by predatory exploitation.

In this region, hundreds of platforms for underwater exploration are still distributed. More than 90% of Brazilian oil, around two million barrels a day, is extracted from the sea. Furthermore, around 95% of national foreign trade takes place across the seas.
