NorSkan Offshore is a Brazilian company owned by the Norwegian DOF Group, the second largest Norwegian investor in Brazil. Today, the company is hiring an Offshore Crane Operator to work in Rio de Janeiro.

Location: Rio de Janeiro, RJ

Experience

Experience in PLSV, DSV and RSV vessel;

Crane operator certificate level III;

CBSP; Cargo handling course and NR-35;

Desirable experience in Subsea Operations;

Knowledge

Technical knowledge of equipment, materials and onboard operations;

Knowledge of the national and international codes that govern its activity;

Desirable Intermediate English – verbal and written knowledge;

Skills

Teamwork Skill;

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Comply with and enforce what is described in the “Permanent Orders of the Commander” and in the “Permanent Orders of the Chief Engineer'';
  • When allocated on the vessel also as a foreman, the crane operator must assume all the responsibilities indicated in the job descriptions of foreman and crane operator;
  • Operate all cranes on board the vessel;
  • Perform maintenance on cranes in accordance with TM Master and requirement of chief engineers;
  • Perform maintenance on the vessel's lifting equipment;
  • Report technical problems to the Chief Engineer;
  • Night watchman when in port;
  • When assigned, remain on bridge watch duty
  • Assistance to the handling crew when necessary and manage along the bridge;
