crane operator
Location: Rio de Janeiro, RJ
Experience
Experience in PLSV, DSV and RSV vessel;
Crane operator certificate level III;
CBSP; Cargo handling course and NR-35;
Desirable experience in Subsea Operations;
Knowledge
Technical knowledge of equipment, materials and onboard operations;
Knowledge of the national and international codes that govern its activity;
Desirable Intermediate English – verbal and written knowledge;
Skills
Teamwork Skill;
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with and enforce what is described in the “Permanent Orders of the Commander” and in the “Permanent Orders of the Chief Engineer'';
- When allocated on the vessel also as a foreman, the crane operator must assume all the responsibilities indicated in the job descriptions of foreman and crane operator;
- Operate all cranes on board the vessel;
- Perform maintenance on cranes in accordance with TM Master and requirement of chief engineers;
- Perform maintenance on the vessel's lifting equipment;
- Report technical problems to the Chief Engineer;
- Night watchman when in port;
- When assigned, remain on bridge watch duty
- Assistance to the handling crew when necessary and manage along the bridge;
