Onshore will generate 700 jobs
Onshore will double production

MME projection predicts production of 500 barrels per day of oil and natural gas in 2030 on the Brazilian Onshore with the measures adopted

During the launch of the Reate 2020 program, which will revitalize the Brazilian Onshore, last Thursday (22/08), the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, declared that Brazil will reach the production of 500 thousand barrels per day of oil and natural gas in 2030 and will create 700 thousand new jobs .

The numbers are based on the increase in investments, according to the minister, from R$ 1,6 billion per year to around R$ 4 billion per year, thanks to creation of the new gas market and the launch of the Reate 2020 program.
The Program for the Revitalization of Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Activity in Onshore Areas (Reate 2020), aims to unlock investments in the sector that will reach BRL 40 billion by 2030.

Representatives of the Ministries of Mines and Energy, Economy, Civil House, EPE, Abipip, IBP, Firjan and Onip will participate in the discussions. One of the measures will seek to simplify, streamline and make the industry permanently open to technological innovation and it will be up to EPE (Empresa de Pesquisa Energetica) to identify and monetize the onshore gas production potential in Brazil, as well as to discuss licensing with the participation of the IBAMA.

In line with the government's idea of having a cheap form of energy to leverage the country's economic development, there are already successful projects for the use of onshore gas for energy production.

A eneva has the Parque dos Gaviões project, a natural gas and energy production hub in the Parnaíba Basin and Imetame is operating the Cardeal Amarelo and Cardeal Nordeste fields, both in the Recôncavo Basin, which will supply natural gas to the Prosperidade thermal I, with capacity to produce 28 MW and which is installed in the city of Camaçari, Bahia.

Alvopetro is going to build an 11 km gas pipeline to connect the Caburé field, in Camaçari (BA), and allow the transport of natural gas to Bahiagás, the state's distributor.

According to the ANP, the mature onshore basins (Espírito Santo, Potiguar, Recôncavo, Sergipe and Alagoas) produced 103,6 Mboe/day in June, of which 81,9 barrels per day of oil and 3,5 million m³/day of gas natural, with 97,1 thousand boe/day being produced by Petrobras.
