Banco Pan is offering 100 scholarships to train new professionals in data processing and analysis

Banco Pan has hundreds of scholarships for its bootcamp program, which aims to train new professionals in the technology sector

Banco Pan has opened enrollment for the DiversiData Tech PAN bootcamp, a program that aims to train new professionals who can work with data processing and analysis. The initiative came from a partnership between the bank and the Institute of Management and Information Technology (IGTI) and is in its second edition, with the goal of providing 100 full-time scholarships.

In its first edition, the bank's initiative registered more than 20 entries and, for this year, the project's main focus is on training of professionals low-income and minority groups, while also focusing on diversity. Due to data analysis being one of the skills most valued by the job market, this is a great opportunity for those who participate in the immersive journey promoted by Banco Pan.  

The bootcamp is a online course of data processing and analysis, which has a duration of 10 weeks. Students learn, during the program, everything about data and analytics, ranging from basics to advanced. The excessive journey also makes it possible to create and improve new skills such as obtaining, analyzing and processing data. Among the topics that will be addressed during Banco Pan's program to train professionals are:

• Data collection and preparation – Content: acquisition, cleaning, integration and categorization.
• Fundamentals of Big Data – Content: frameworks, collective intelligence, semantic web, tools and web crawler.
• Techniques for processing Big Data – Content: Spark Streaming, MLlib, Spark GraphX ​​and Neo4j.
• Data analysis using dashboards – Content: study of graphs, construction of panels and Getsalt.

Those interested in enrolling in the program must fill out an electronic form with data such as full name, CPF, address, telephone, e-mail, academic background, among others, at the DiversiData Tech PAN page. The selection process will be done through a classification test, and the result of the selection will be forwarded via email to the candidates.

Those interested have until the 1st of May to register, and the start of the professional development program is scheduled for the 5th of the same month. In total, there are 148 hours of content that includes recorded video classes, challenges and weekly live classes via videoconference. In addition, there is the possibility of networking with teachers and colleagues.

Future professionals study theory and also do practical work. At the end of the training, they receive certificates, with the possibility of being sent to occupy jobs effective at Banco Pan. Bearing in mind that training begins with basic notions of the area, there are no technical prerequisites to enroll in the selection process of scholarships. Classes are completely online, so people from all over Brazil can participate in the selection process.
