The company announced that it anchored the FSO Pargo in the Campos Basin this week. This is yet another milestone for Perenco Brasil in the recovery of the Pargo asset in the company's operations.
Last Tuesday (16/05), the company of oil and gas Perenco Brasil announced the mooring process of the FSO Pargo platform in the Campos Basin region, more specifically in Polo Pargo. The activity included the connection of nine mooring lines, in addition to one for export. Now, the oil company continues with its investments in expanding its activities in the Brazilian offshore market.

FSO Pargo is part of the concession revitalization project, whose objective is to invest US$ 400 million and increase production by 25% by the end of this year, reaching a daily average of 15 thousand barrels.
The mooring operation consisted of the connection of nine mooring lines, as well as the installation of the new production export line from the Pargo platform.
The Pargo concession is located in the Campos Basin, one of the most important oil and gas producing basins in Brazil.
The basin has a long history of production and is home to several oil fields that guarantee a good highlight for the Brazilian offshore market.
Perenco Brasil is an independent oil and gas company with operations in several countries, including Brazil, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The company has a long history of operating in Brazil and is committed to the development of the country's oil and gas resources. The anchoring of the FSO Pargo in the Campos Basin is just one step taken by the company in its expansion campaign.

The docking of FSO Pargo is a positive development for the Brazilian oil and gas industry.
The project is expected to increase production and help meet the growing demand for oil in Brazil.
The project is also a sign of Perenco Brasil's commitment to developing the country's oil and gas resources.
Perenco Brasil owns all of the Pargo Pole concessions, which include the Pargo, Carapeba and Vermelho fields, located in shallow depth areas in the Campos Basin, off the coast of Rio de Janeiro. These concessions include a set of eight fixed platforms, whose maximum depth reaches 100 meters.
In 2023, daily oil production reached the mark of 13.000 barrels, representing an impressive increase of 364% compared to the 2.800 barrels recorded when Perenco Brasil took over operations in October 2019.
“The Polo Pargo Development Plan is a major project and we are proud to partner with Brazil to bring our technical expertise and our innovative approach to maximizing the lifespan of the Polo concessions,” commented Yves Postec, General Manager of Perenco Brasil.
In early 2021, Brazilian authorities formally approved the development plan, along with the extension of Perenco Brasil's rights over the concessions until 2040.
Now, the company is confident that the Polo Pargo Development Plan will be a success and will help ensure the continued growth of the Brazilian economy, with strong investments in Campos Basin production following the anchoring of FSO Pargo.
