Petrobras said, however, that it will preserve the scope of the project, which provides for the relocation of wells between platforms in operation in 2022.

Petrobras informs in a relevant fact this morning (16/10) about the cancellation of the tender for a platform for Parque das Baleias, in the Campos Basin due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus. Good news for the Northeast, there are chances for the state-owned company to invest again in Ceará, Maranhão and Rio Grande do Norte, if new wells with great extraction potential are found.

In a statement, Petrobras said that due to the economic context in the face of the covid-19 pandemic, it decided to postpone the Integrated Project of Parque das Baleias by about a year, leaving the start of operations and first oil for 2024.

The oil company said, however, that it will preserve the scope of the project, which provides for the relocation of wells between platforms in operation in 2022.

With the postponement, Petrobras canceled the bidding process for chartering the platform to serve the project and authorized the start of a new bidding process.

Parque das Baleias comprises the developing areas of Baleia Anã, Baleia Azul, Baleia Franca, Cachalote, Caxaréu, Mangangá, Pirambu and the Jubarte field, originating from block BC-60, in the Campos Basin.

Petrobras begins the sale of seven oil fields and a Natural Gas Processing Unit in the state of Alagoas

Petrobras announced last night (15/10) that it had begun the binding phase for the sale of its entire stake in a set of seven concessions for onshore and shallow water oil fields in the state of Alagoas.

In addition to the concessions and their production facilities, the Natural Gas Processing Unit is included in the transaction. (UPGN) from Alagoas, responsible for processing 100% of the pole's gas and for generating NGL, whose processing capacity is 2 million cubic meters per day.

The Alagoas Hub comprises seven production concessions (Anambé, Arapaçu, Cidade de São Miguel dos Campos, Furado, Paru, Pilar and São Miguel dos Campos), all located in the state of Alagoas.
