Petrobras created the gas voucher program with the aim of helping families in social vulnerability
Petrobras declared the creation of the social program focused on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with gas vouchers, which will deliver 300 grants to support the acquisition of cooking gas cylinders by families in socially vulnerable conditions. , until December 2021. In the initial phase, Petrobras will invest BRL 30 million, of the total BRL 300 million approved by the Board of Directors, to be invested by the end of next year.

In a statement sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), Petrobras reported that, for 2021, two lines of actions were accepted, which will directly benefit approximately 300 families with the gas voucher aid.
How will the gas voucher work?
In the first line of action, investments will go to philanthropic institutions that are affiliated with Petrobras in carrying out socio-environmental projects. These institutions operate around Petrobras' operations and will provide gas voucher assistance, worth R$100,00, to 90 socially vulnerable families living in these locations.

These families, who already received help from Petrobras through donations of basic food baskets and/or food cards during the last few months, from now on will also receive, until the end of 2021, the aid of a gas voucher for the acquisition of a gas cylinder. kitchen gas.
In the second line of action admitted, Petrobras will benefit 210 families with the aid of a gas voucher for the purchase of cooking gas cylinders. This attitude will be managed through a partnership with Fundação Banco do Brasil and with other companies and institutions, such as Vibra Energia and Fundación Mapfre, in addition to Banco do Brasil and associated companies, such as BB Seguros, Banco do Brasil Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Furniture (BB DTVM), BB Consórcios, Livelo, Cielo and others.
According to Petrobras, the Banco do Brasil Foundation develops the Brasileiros pelo Brasil project, in which it buys products from family farming to assemble basic food baskets that are donated to the inhabitants of municipalities and communities with a low Human Development Index (HDI). ), throughout Brazil. Through the partnership with Petrobras, in addition to a food basket, families will receive a gas voucher, in the amount of R$ 100,00, to purchase an LPG cylinder by the end of 2021.
“In relation to the BRL 270 million that will be used throughout 2022, the model is still in the study phase. This initiative reinforces Petrobras' social role and demonstrates its commitment to contribute more and more to society”, stated Petrobras about the gas voucher aid project.
