Revap, Henrique Lage Refinery, in São José dos Campos, leaves Petrobras' divestment list and will no longer be sold.
Petrobras took the decision to remove Revap, its third largest refinery from the list of 8 refineries it promised to sell, according to its divestment plan.
Although Petrobras has not disclosed the reason for such decision, it is believed, according to specialists, that the initiative is due to the company's market strategy.
The Henrique Lage Refinery, located in São José dos Campos, is the major supplier of aviation fuel in the state of São Paulo, accounting for around 80%.
To get an idea of the refinery's importance, all the fuel to supply the Guarulhos airport comes from the unit, in addition to its importance for the region's economy, with its 6 jobs.

It is believed that Petrobras did not want to give up the revenue generated by the refinery, which has the capacity to produce 250 barrels per day, which represents 14% of national production.
The eight refineries that will be sold
Petrobras has 13 refineries throughout Brazil and according to its divestment plan got CADE approval to sell eight of them.
The intention of the state-owned company is to "make cash" to reduce the company's debt level, which reached, in March this year, R$ 78,8 billion.
The eight refineries were divided into two groups of four each, and the first four to be sold were announced at the end of June and are: Abreu e Lima (RNEST), in Pernambuco; Landulpho Alves (RLAM), in Bahia; President Getúlio Vargas (Repar), in Paraná and Alberto Pasqualini (Refap), in Rio Grande do Sul.
The other four refineries that will be sold, according to Petrobras, are: Refinaria Gabriel Passos (REGAP), in Minas Gerais; Isaac Sabbá (REMAN), in Amazonas; Shale Industrialization Unit (SIX), in Paraná and Lubricants and Derivatives of the Northeast (LUBNOR), in Ceará.
There is speculation in the market that Petrobras would keep under its control assets in the Southeast, its main consumer pole, they are the refineries of Duque de Caxias, in Rio de Janeiro, and Presidente Bernardes, Capuava and Paulínia, the three located in São Paulo, as well as Henrique Lage.
