consumer's pocket
According to Petrobras, the final price of natural gas to the consumer is not only determined by the cost of the gas molecule and transportation, but also by the distributors' margins and by federal and state taxes. In addition, the tariff approval process is carried out by state regulatory agencies, in accordance with specific legislation and regulations.
“The sales contracts for distributors are public and are available for consultation on the website of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP),” he adds.
