This Tuesday (11), the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Junior, met with deputies Hussein Bakri and Alexandre Curi, accompanied by mayors of the region, to discuss investments arising from the shale exploration agreement in southern Paraná.
A Petrobras will pay around R$ 480 million to the municipality of São Mateus do Sul and the state of Paraná, which will be used for investments in infrastructure and other areas. The governor's commitment is to direct the budget to the region, especially in investments in the area of infrastructure, according to suggestions that will be pointed out by the municipalities themselves.

The agreement signed last year will pay around BRL 480 million in 60 installments. In addition to the health and education sectors already determined by law, these shale royalties may also be applied in energy, paving, water treatment, irrigation, environment and basic sanitation.
The president of Amsulpar, an association that represents the municipalities of southern Paraná, Toninho Szaykowski, thanked the governor for the meeting and for the partnership in the development of the region. “I want to thank the governor for receiving us at the hands of deputy Hussein, so that we can build together this prospect of development for our region based on structuring works”, stated Szaykowski.
