March 2021 is the result of the initiatives adopted by the state-owned company to expand the supply of natural gas to the market, such as, for example, the increase in capacity of the regasification terminal in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the statement from the oil company, Petrobras imports LNG from countries such as the United States, Trinidad & Tobago and Qatar, through special ships, which transport the gas in liquid form.
The input returns to the gaseous state at the regasification terminals and is then sent to customers who have contracts for the sale of natural gas entered into with Petrobras. The import of LNG to meet the demands of the national gas market can also be carried out by other suppliers.
Petrobras opens mega-bid and oil giants NOV, TechnipFMC and Baker enter the dispute for the acquisition of special flexible pipelines for six pre-salt projects
The Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has launched a tender for the supply of the material, which will have to be non-susceptible to the SCC-CO2 phenomenon. The contract will be for the acquisition of up to 291,9 km of special flexible lines for the offshore fields of Búzios, Tupi, Sapinhoá, Atapu, Berbigão and Sururu, located in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin.
The public tender will mark the first acquisition of lines of this type by the company. Each interested company will present its own internally developed solution.
Due to Petrobras having faced wear problems in the pipelines of the cluster, the state-owned company aims to acquire new pre-salt lines that have a useful life limit compatible with the duration of the production projects. Read the full story here.
