Production fields are onshore and offshore and Petrobras is going to raise US$ 191 million. The oil company will also sell its stakes in 11 fields in the Campos basin
Petrobras informed this Friday (09/08) that it sold for US$ 191,1 million, approximately 753 million, 7 fields in RN to 3R Petroleum.
The production fields are land and sea and are called Polo Macau, in the Rio Grande do Norte Basin and which is composed of the fields of Aratum, Macau, Serra, Salina Cristal, Lagoa Aroeira, Porto Carão and Sanhaçu.
The fields at Polo Macau produce around 5,8 barrels of oil equivalent per day and belong entirely to Petrobras, except for the Sanhaçu field, in which it holds a 50% stake, while the 50% belongs to Petrogal, controlled by Portuguese Galp.

According to information from Petrobras, 3R Petroleum will pay two installments, one of US$ 48 million at the signing of the contract and another of US$ 143,1 million at the closing of the transaction.
The deal will still undergo approval by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP).

3R Petroleum is a Brazilian company that operates in the redevelopment of mature onshore fields, and has the financial support of Starboard funds, an alternative investment manager that was advised by CMA (Campos Melo Advogados), the office that negotiated with Petrobras the structuring of the debt and equity of the Macau project.
The sale of the fields in Rio Grande do Norte is part of Petrobras' divestment plan, which will now focus on its core activity, which is the exploration and production of oil and gas in deep waters.
Petrobras also announced the start of a process to sell its stakes in 11 production fields in shallow waters in the Campos Basin.
The fields are called Polo Garoupa which involves the assets of Anequim, Bagre, Grouper, Congro, Corvina, Malhado, Namorado, Parati, Garoupa, Garoupinha and Viola.
All fields belong 100% to Petrobras and the average production of the wells, in the last 12 months, was approximately 19,6 thousand boe/day.
The sales process also includes the production and distribution facilities to Barra do Furado.
