Natural gas supply agreements begin this Friday (1/12), which will extend until 2034, guaranteeing a long-term partnership.
Petrobras' strategy of appealing for long-term supply contracts with piped gas distributors since the end of 2022 resulted in obtaining 11 million m3/day of firm consumption for its natural gas at the turn of the decade.
The state-owned company had already signed 11 contracts with distributors, with a volume equivalent to approximately 14% of all firm gas demand (excluding thermoelectric plants) predicted by the Energy Research Company (EPE) for the early 2030s, within the integrated gas pipeline network.
The controller of CEG e CEG Rio, managed to avoid disadvantageous conditions with Petrobras in court and was in a battle to renegotiate gas prices.
