Petrobras awards the multinational company, which is recovering in the market, its second contract in the oil and gas industry in less than 30 days

Petrobras and Weatherford went back to doing business and the Brazilian state-owned company announced the closing of a contract for the supply of 24 deep water safety valves. Earlier this month the companies closed the Irish company's biggest ever contract for fisheries and intervention services worth US$87 million.
The agreement will last for four years and involves equipment capable of withstanding pressures of up to 10 psi and in water depths of up to 3,658 m.

Company

Weatherford is one of the world's largest multinational oilfield services companies, providing innovative solutions, technology and services to the oil and gas industry. The company operates in more than 80 countries and has a network of approximately 700 locations, including manufacturing, service, research and development and training.

The company is already an old partner of Petrobras, as both have 30 active contracts, the majority for well services (equipment rental, connection and disconnection services, completion, among others).

The company domiciled in Ireland, but headquartered in Texas (USA) is in the process of restructuring. The expectation is that the implementation of the plan, which aims to reduce the company's US$ 5,8 billion debt, will occur before the end of the year.

A weatherford announced vacancies in the area of completion and intervention of wells, coincidence or not, perhaps it is to meet the demand of the two signed contracts.
