Petrobras starts selling 4 more refineries in Minas Gerais, Amazonas, Ceará and Paraná

The REGAP, RAMAN, LUBNOR and SIX refineries are part of Petrobras' second sales package, announced on the 13th by the state-owned company

Petrobras, remaining firm in its divestment plan, announced this Friday morning (13) another batch of refineries to be privatized, namely: REGAP, RAMAN, LUBNOR and SIX.  The first wave, which includes RLAM, REVAP, REPAL and Rnest, already has more than 20 interested parties (see here).

Below, see the information and characteristics of each refinery

  • REGAP (Gabriel Passos Refinery) – installed in the city of Betim, in the state of Minas Gerais, it is capable of processing around 166.000 barrels daily and among its assets, it has oil pipelines with more than 720 kilometers.
  • REMAN (Isaac Sabbá Refinery or Manaus Refinery) – installed in the city of Manaus, in the state of Amazonas, it can process 46 barrels of oil daily and also has an annex for storage.
  • LUBNOR (Lubricants and Petroleum Derivatives of the Northeast) – Located in the city of Mucuripe, in the state of Ceará, it processes 8 barrels per day and is the only one in Brazil with the capacity to produce naphthenic-type lubricants
  • SIX (Shale Industrialization Unit) – Located in the municipality of São Mateus do Sul, in the state of Paraná, it can process 8 barrels per day and its main product is the manufacture of asphalt and lubricants.

In the last oil auctions promoted by the ANP on September 10, 45 exploratory blocks were acquired, mainly in the northeast.

Petrobras got ANP approval to finally sell the Carapeba, Pargo and Vermelho fields in the Campos Basin for Perenco on the last 12th.

ExxonMobil will begin drilling activities as early as 2020 in the Sergipe Basin. There will be economic movement in the region that will generate billions in business and jobs.
