The private institution has been drawing attention since 2021, after the start of strategies aimed at improving diversity in the corporate environment, shaping the way it is seen by employees.
A Petronect, business partner of Petrobras in the oil and gas sector, is celebrating another victory this week: the good results achieved following its strategies aimed at optimizing the diversity of its workforce. Some ideas were related to the creation of lectures and distribution of books on the subject.
In order for the actions to be adopted, the private institution created, as of March 2021, a committee that would address and study precisely the internal diversity of the teams, both in terms of gender, race and ethnicity. The committee is made up of six professionals from different areas, such as Finance, Legal, Marketing and Human Resources.
The program is led by the human resources manager and is called Diversinect. With this time of existence, it was possible to determine that the company has a proportional amount of men and women. At least 53% of its employees consider themselves to be women, while the rest consider themselves to be men. However, the numbers are not as proportional for blacks, since the number of self-declared employees in this way remained at 30%.

The diversity committee prepared by the Petronect, partner of Petrobras, allows for increased diversity in the corporate environment through knowledge pills on company commemorative dates, distribution of readings and lectures in general.
“The effect of the Committee's work can already be observed in the result of the half-yearly Climate Survey, which at the end of 2021 had 80% favorability in the diversity dimension, and grew to 92% in the first half of 2022, noting the improvement in the perception of themes of equity and diversity and inclusion by employees”, concludes Wanessa Cunha, team leader.
For the year 2023, the company will study cultural aspects and how they influence the work environment. For this reason, they will have half-yearly surveys in order to analyze which were the main changes, which are affecting the behavior of their employees.
