PetroRio receives endorsement from the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) for rights to the Tubarão Martelo asset, which was operated by Dommo, located in the Campos Basin

The Tubarão Martelo Field in the Campos Basin is under new ownership. Yesterday (03/08), the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) approved the assignment of rights to PetroRio for the asset that was previously operated by the oil and gas company Dommo Energia. In December of 2013, the dome Energia started oil production in the Tubarão Martelo field. Production at the asset is being carried out using the FPSO OSX-3 and, by the year 2018, it had produced more than 15 million barrels of oil.

With the acquisition, PetroRio becomes the dominant operator of the concession, owning an 80% stake and promises to extend, until 2035, the economic life of the field.

In addition to the purchase of the rights to the field, PetroRio had also announced, in February this year, the acquisition of the FPSO OSX-3 Oil and Gas Production Storage and Transfer unit for a total amount of US$ 140 million.

The company has undertaken to assume all of Dommo Energia's operating costs and investment commitments.

PetroRio's integrated project in the Campos Basin

PetroRio intends to carry out projects seeking the integration of the Tubarão Martelo and Polvo fields, both assets located in the Campos Basin, estimating an investment of approximately US$ 45 million.

After the interconnection of the Tubarão Martelo and Polvo oil fields, scheduled for mid-2021, PetroRio will have a 95% stake in the new integrated production hub; and Dommo, with the remaining 5%.
