PHB develops a new type of energy controller for solar power plants with power up to 3,3 MWca

PHB, known for its inverters, has developed a new power controller. The product is capable of controlling the performance of solar power plants with 60 inverters and 3,3 MWca of power

This Monday (17), PHB solar launched the SEC1000, an intelligent energy controller that, when combined with solar energy inverters, has the ability to capture and analyze data in real time. With a control panel and a three-phase meter, the SEC1000 can be connected to the monitoring portal to control and manage the performance of inverters in plants with 60 inverters and power of up to 3,3 MWca.

The power controller can even automatically adjust active power and other parameters of solar power plants, distributing and allocating system resources more effectively.

PHB's product is mainly focused on customers of the Free Contracting Environment (ACL), the Free Market for photovoltaic solar energy, who plan to become self-producers of energy. With the new intelligent energy controller, there is the possibility to follow the generation curve along with the load curve, a unique feature of the PHB product.

Therefore, the customer can monitor his consumption, optimizing the use of solar energy and avoiding demand overruns. The main applications of SEC1000 in solar power plants are:

  • System power factor adjustment
  • Power limitation on input pattern

PHB launches other meters aimed at solar plants

The other two previous launches by PHB solar were the CT-90 and PHB120T meters, which also operate with the manufacturer's inverters and allow the power injected into the utility grid to be limited. The PHB120T power controller is aimed at three-phase systems up to 60 kWca, while the CT-90 is aimed at single-phase systems up to 8,5 kWca.

The meters are aimed at customers who plan to purchase a solar energy system and are limited by the energy input pattern, either to avoid measurement adequacy expenses or to reduce project time. Energy controllers allow you to configure the power of the solar energy system so that it generates electricity to feed the loads, exporting a determined value to the utility.

If, at some point, the load is low and production is high, the inverter limits the power so that a predetermined current is not exceeded. It is worth mentioning that the three products are already available on the PHB sales platform.
