NEW TOYOTA RAIZE: the entry-level SUV that is needed in Brazil
Toyota's mini SUV stands out for its elegant and sophisticated design
Toyota's new compact stands out for its elegant and sophisticated design. With fluid lines and balanced proportions, the vehicle conveys an image of modernity and refinement. The front is marked by a wide and imposing grille, while the LED headlights give it a technological and attractive look. The sides have a dynamic silhouette, with creases and reliefs that add personality to the set.
At the rear, the highlight is the LED headlights, which bring a modern and engaging light signature. The set of wheels, with a choice of 16 or 17 inch rims, complements the sporty and sophisticated look of Toyota's new compact car.
Spacious and Technological Interior
Upon entering Toyota's new compact, the driver and passengers are welcomed by a spacious and cozy interior. The seats offer comfort and support, with a choice of fabric or leather upholstery, depending on the version chosen.
The instrument panel is modern and easy to read, with a digital screen that displays all essential information. The infotainment system, with a touch screen measuring up to 9 inches, features an intuitive interface full of features, such as smartphone connectivity, GPS navigation and audio control.
Another highlight of the interior is the generous space for occupants, both in the front and in the rear. The trunk is also surprising, with a load capacity greater than many competitors in the segment. Yaris cross
Toyota's new mini SUV comes equipped with efficient and powerful engine options
Under the hood, Toyota's new mini SUV comes equipped with efficient and powerful engine options. Consumers will be able to choose between gasoline or hybrid engines, both with excellent performance and low fuel consumption. Yaris cross
The gasoline versions have a 1.5-liter, 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, which delivers a good combination of power and economy. With up to 98 horsepower and 14,3 kgfm of torque, combined with six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission options, Raize guarantees an agile and economical driving experience. Yaris cross
Toyota representatives indicated that the hybrid variant of the new SUV will be equipped with a combustion engine manufactured at the Porto Feliz (SP) unit. This 1.5 flex aspirated engine, with a power of 110 hp and a torque of 14,9 kgfm, will be used both in the combustion versions with CVT automatic transmission and in the hybrid versions, where the 1.5 engine works as a generator to power an electric motor. Excess energy will be stored in a small set of batteries.
Toyota's new mini SUV promises an impressive consumption of 28 km/l.
The e-Smart system, which will debut in Brazil with this model, uses the combustion engine as the main generator for the electric motor, providing smooth driving and immediate torque characteristic of electric vehicles. Furthermore, the system includes a one-pedal function, which allows the car to brake completely just by regenerating the electric motor, and achieves an impressive consumption of 28 km/l. Yaris cross
Initially implemented in the Toyota Raize in 2021 with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine, capable of generating 106 hp and 17,3 kgfm, this system was improved with the use of the 1.5 flex engine in Brazil. This evolution will also be adopted by Thai models and, in 2025, will be extended to the new generation of Yaris hatch and sedan, marking its launch in the Brazilian market.
Regardless of the option chosen, Toyota's new compact stands out for its agile and comfortable handling. The well-tuned chassis and refined suspension guarantee safe and pleasurable performance, both on urban journeys and on roads.
Cutting-edge Technology and Security
In addition to its attractive design and efficient performance, Toyota's new compact car is equipped with a series of advanced technologies. The safety package includes features such as airbags, automatic emergency braking system, lane departure alert, stability control and more.
In the field of connectivity, the vehicle offers integration with smartphones, allowing the driver to access their favorite applications directly on the car's screen. Furthermore, the GPS navigation system and audio control with voice recognition make the driving experience even more intuitive and enjoyable.
Toyota Raize: When will it arrive in Brazil?
The launch of the Toyota Raize is still in the planning phase and without official confirmation about its arrival on the Brazilian market – unlike the Yaris Cross, which already has guaranteed production in the country.
Hopes increase in having this darling in Brazil, as the model is already available in Mexico for approximately 333.900 pesos. This is equivalent to around 89 thousand reais in direct conversion. It is prudent to anticipate that, if launched, its price will be significantly higher, reflecting the high rates and operating costs typical in Brazil.
However, the introduction of this SUV in the national territory would be a strategic move to compete with models with popular appeal. Yaris cross
The Raize stands out as a substantially superior option to the Toyota Vitz, previously speculated for our market. It would certainly gain a prominent position in the national automobile scene, if it were to be commercialized. With this, expectations revolve around the official announcement and the innovations that Raize promises to bring to the compact SUV segment in the country.

Excellent vehicle, I'm already thinking about exchanging mine for one of these Mini SUVs, congratulations to Toyota
Toyota, after years of being in the market, decided to implement its vehicles to compete again with other automakers in the vehicle market. Another manufacturer that needs to improve the quality of its vehicles is Chevrolet, which has stopped in time and has maintained the same models in recent years.
Do you have this root model for PCD?
I would also like to know.
Adding taxes, it should cost more than 100k. I'm sorry, but it won't sell like hotcakes. There are other mid-size SUVs in the same price range.
I've been waiting for the CH-R to arrive for years. I've been following this car for a long time. It's beautiful, imposing and I would definitely buy one. For now, I'm waiting for the Yaris Cross Hybrid to come out.
