South Atlantic Gold's newest bet for the mining industry, a gold mine project in the state of Ceará, continues to advance in the region and the company intends to generate more than 1000 jobs for residents of the region.

Last Monday (18/07), the mining company South Atlantic Gold and the government of the state of Ceará signed a memorandum of understanding to continue the gold exploration project in the region. This is the Pedra Branca Project, a mining of this metal that intends to take advantage of the potential of Ceará's reserves and, in exchange, contribute to the generation of more than 1000 job opportunities in the state.

Pedra Branca Project gold mine progresses in the state of Ceará with the signing of a memorandum of understanding with South Atlantic Gold

The Canadian mining company South Atlantic Gold continues to advance in search of its gold exploration project in the Ceará region and, this week, signed a memorandum of understanding to continue the mine's bureaucratic issues with the state government. Entitled Projeto Pedra Branca, the mine is the latest bet by the government and the company to take advantage of the high exploration potential of the resource in the region.

And, in addition to being responsible for South Atlantic Gold's expansion plan in the national territory and in Latin America, the gold mining project will also make a strong contribution to the Ceará region, as the company expects to create more than 1000 job opportunities in the stages of plant development. In addition, according to company data, planned investments are around R$ 120 million, and estimated initial production is 66 ounces of gold.

Furthermore, South Atlantic Gold's Director of Institutional Relations, Eduardo Leão, highlighted that the signing of the memorandum of understanding with the government of Ceará reinforces the company's position in contributing to job opportunities and guarantees more reliability in the continuity of the project.

Finally, he also said that the document will be essential for joint work on issues that do not depend entirely on the company, such as the water supply in the gold mine installation area.

The Canadian company invested more than BRL 13 million in research for its gold mine project in the state of Ceará

The state of Ceará became the Canadian mining company's new big bet and, for the development of the gold mine project in the region, South Atlantic Gold invested more than R$ 13 million in the research phase alone. In this way, all the technical and geological viability for the installation of the plant is already guaranteed and the company will be able to continue the processes without worrying about this part.

Now, the company is waiting for bids by the National Mining Agency (ANM) and is also seeking financing from Sudene (Northeast Development Superintendence) and Banco do Nordeste (BNB). In this way, the company would be able to start work as soon as possible for the construction of the gold mine.

The enterprise will be essential for the development of the state of Ceará, with the generation of jobs and income and Governor Izolda Cela said: “We are very proud and it fills us with hope when we talk about the generation of jobs in the interior of Ceará. We are promoting the articulation between the departments so that we can act in an integrated way in order to guarantee the technical and professional qualification necessary for the project to reach the planned success”.
