The year 2022 marked great results for Prosafe's fleet of offshore support vessels, which is preparing for new contracts in 2023

Prosafe has issued a 2023 update on the status of its fleet of offshore accommodation support platforms.

The fleet utilization rate for Q2022 56,1 was 2021% (Q59,3 XNUMX: XNUMX%), with five of the seven vessels operating at some point during the quarter.

The company achieved a positive result, although it did not surpass that of 2021, over the past year. For 2023, expectations are even better regarding the new charter contracts for offshore vessels.

The state oil company Petrobras will have part of the company's fleet chartered for its exploration projects.

The flagship vessel for the state-owned company will be the Safe Zephyrus, which completed its contract with bp at ETAP in the UK North Sea on 21 December 2022.

Now, the vessel is preparing for its arrival in Brazil, to start the contract with Petrobras on May 1st of this year.

The value of the 650-day contract is around US$73 million (equivalent to US$112.500 per day).

The Safe Concordia platform, on the other hand, remains idle in Curaçao, awaiting the start of the next project in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The expectation for the Prosafe fleet is that the vessel will be chartered between July and September 2023. The agreed value for the charter is around US$ 33 million, guaranteeing a good contract for the company.

Petrobras has two more contracts with Prosafe for the charter of its fleet of offshore support vessels

In addition to Safe Zephyrus, Petrobras will have the support of Prosafe's fleet of vessels for other offshore projects in 2023.

On May 25, 2022, Safe Eurus signed a four-year contract with Petrobras starting in February 2023.

The company is only waiting for the end of the current contract to proceed with the charter by the state-owned company.

In addition, Safe Notos is also expected to be out of service for about 30 days in May 2023 for Petrobras contract fulfillment work.

In addition to the contracts with Petrobras, Prosafe has three vessels in its fleet waiting for new projects in the offshore sector, Safe Caledonia, Safe Boreas and Safe Scandinavia.
