PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) has signed an MoU with Mahidol University for academic collaboration in CCS technologies and geosciences.
Thai oil and gas giant PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) is taking an important step in advancing carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology in Thailand. In partnership with the Mahidol University, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further develop these technologies and skills in the country.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed as part of the PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect project, reaffirming the company's commitment to innovation and sustainability. This joint effort aims to carry out research studies in geosciences and petroleum engineering, in addition to creating professionals specialized in oil exploration and production, also seeking to explore carbon storage sites.

Partnership with Universities for the Development of CCS Technology
Under the PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect scheme, PTTEP has already entered into a memorandum of understanding with several universities, including Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University and Khon Kaen University, aiming to extend similar academic collaboration to boost the development of technologies and skills CCS.
