Started review process of regulatory standards NRs 7, 9 and 17

Revision of the Regulatory Norms continues and now it is the turn of NRs 7, 9 and 17 that begin the phase of receiving suggestions

The Official Gazette of the Union, published on the last day 30/08, the beginning of the revision process of Regulatory Norms (NRs) 7 (Program for Medical Control of Occupational Health - PCMSO), 9 (Program for Prevention of Environmental Risks - PPRA) and 17 (Ergonomics).
After the federal government announced in early August the review of regulatory standards 1 and 12 and the repeal of regulatory standard 2, now it was time to start the public consultation on the proposed revision of Standards 7, 9 and 17 and the proposed text of the Risk Management Program.

The process was released by the Ministry of Economy, through the Special Secretariat for Social Security and Labor and the texts can be consulted by clicking here and suggestions can be sent through this same link until September 28, 2019.

After this deadline, the Secretariat of Labor will analyze the suggestions will be analyzed by the Secretariat of Labor, which is the body responsible for making the proposed text to be sent to a tripartite group, formed by representatives of the government, workers and employers, for discussion and approval.

The last stage will be the forwarding, by the Tripartite group, of the final text to be discussed and approved within the scope of the Permanent Joint Tripartite Commission – CTPP.

Changing the rules is a campaign promise by current President Jair Bolsonaro. The objective is to reduce bureaucracy and encourage entrepreneurship and the federal government estimates savings for companies of R$ 43 billion over the next 10 years.
