Rio Grande do Norte hosts Regional Forum on Distributed Generation in June

Published 16/05/2023 às 11:07

Confirmed for the 28th and 29th of June, the event will bring important names from the sector to discuss the energy potential for clean sources

The production of clean energy is gaining ground in Brazil and generation by distributed mini and micro generation has been standing out. The northeast is among the regions with great potential for the source and it is with a focus on encouraging it that the new Regional Forum on Distributed Generation in the northeast region (Forum GD – Nordeste) is confirmed for next month.

Called Forum GD Nordeste, the 19th edition of the event is confirmed in Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte, between the 28th and 29th of June. It is worth mentioning that the latest editions of the GD Forum were considered a success by the FRG Mídias & Eventos Group, the event's organizer. All exceeded expectations and with the Northeast GD Forum it will be no different. For Tiago Fraga, the event comes to praise the production of the region richest in sun in the country, as well as to provide even more knowledge and technologies through the lectures promoted, since it is still possible to develop much more.

“The GD Forum is planned to become the biggest forum of all times, it will have more than 50 exhibitors, brands from 10 countries with us, luggage filled with more than 100 speakers, we will bring the main trends, main technological innovations that will be produced in the sector now and in the years to come. Financing agents, some of the main integrators, so the reproductive chain of distributed generation well represented by these doctors who are really making it happen in recent years in the introduction of distributed generation in the electrical matrix” says Fraga.

The expert also points out that the expectation is that the number of connections will grow after the passage of the forum by Natal.

“We also hope that the event can strengthen by increasing the number of connections and also installed potential mainly in the states of the northeast region. That all of them have a growth of at least 30% within what has been manufactured. The expectation is that we can really make an event that can contribute, promote and bring new business” explains Fraga.

Also commenting on the subject is Guilherme Chrispim, president of the Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation (ABGD), the promoter of the Forum. For him, the Northeast region has great potential and the meeting of important players in the sector will leverage the market, which although still growing is still smaller than other regions of the country such as the Southeast, South and Midwest.

“We'll be there waiting for you for a good opportunity for debates, under the legislation, under law 14.300, on resolution 1059 placed by ANEEL, but also an opportunity for networking, conversations, to see what's new, technology , of innovation, of possibilities in the distributed generation sector, promoted by ABGD, organized by the FRG Group traditionally for over six, seven years with this work in the market” points out Chrispim.

According to the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), Brazil today already generates 21 GW of total power through DG. The Northeast region alone, in turn, is responsible for 4,1 GW of production, as well as having more than 391 consumer units with the modality installed. Homes, in turn, are still the ones that most install this type of system.

The Forum's program will bring important subjects for business opportunities, as well as exclusive panels to discuss regulatory barriers, legal impediments, innovative technologies, financing, training and perspectives for growth in the sector.
