Rio Grande do Sul also wants greater participation in the onerous assignment resources

A better distribution of resources from the mega-auction of the transfer of rights is becoming a huge debate, now it was Rio Grande do Sul's turn to join the fray

After the government of SP requested a better distribution of resources from the mega auction of the transfer of rights, now it is the turn of the state of Rio Grande do Sul to express the same will.
The articulations of the states began after Rio de Janeiro managed, through an articulation of the leaders of the state of Rio de Janeiro in the Senate, to approve an agreement that increased the amount to be received by the state of Rio de Janeiro referring to the amounts that will be received with the mega oil transfer auction scheduled for November

The articulation is starting from the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, who foresees a change in PC 98, the PEC of the transfer of rights, since the document will have to go through the Chamber of Deputies once again.
The change would be that the criteria used to calculate the amount that the states have to receive, not only be the State Participation Fund (FPE), but also others, such as the Export Fund (FEX) and the Kandir Law.

According to the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, such an initiative would guarantee a greater balance in the distribution of resources from the transfer of rights.
“The criteria approved in the Senate for the division of resources are very bad for Rio Grande do Sul, as we will receive less compared to other states. As the project returns to the Chamber, I am working to make the deputies aware and understand the importance of defining fairer criteria for the division of resources”, he declared.

The onerous assignment PEC was approved in two shifts last Tuesday (03/09), with the Rio January, increasing its collection by R$ 2,1 billion.
The amendment was presented by the senators of Rio, Flávio Bolsonaro (PSL), Romário (Podemos) and Arolde de Oliveira (PSC), but had the participation of the mayor, Rodrigo Maia.

The governor of Rio Grande do Sul and the representatives of the gaucho bench in the house, met with the president of the Chamber, to try to reach an agreement and carry out the changes in PEC 98.

Petrobras waiting

Petrobras awaits the outcome of the approval of PEC 98 in the Chamber of Deputies and the consequent amendment of the Annual Budget Law, to find out what amount it will be entitled to with the signature of the review of the onerous assignment contract.
“It should be noted that the Board also stipulated that the signing of the amendment must take place before the auction of surpluses from the Assignment of Rights is held,” the company said in a note.
