Industrial Revolution with 5G
With the theme โ5G Opens a New Chapter, Intelligent Innovation Designs a New Qualityโ, the competition aimed to foster the transition of 5G application from supply to demand, promoting the digital transformation of key industries. Ronma Solarโs โโproject exemplifies this shift by demonstrating how 5G can be applied to create an agile and automated factory, bringing impressive results in terms of operational efficiency and quality control.
During a visit to the companyโs smart factory on September 12, a reporter was able to tell how 5G has transformed the industrial environment. Equipment and processes are fully connected, with hundreds of automated guided vehicles (AGV) operating under remote monitoring.
Chen Yipeng, a company representative, highlighted that production at the factory, with a capacity of 3 GW in photovoltaic modules and 8 GW in batteries, is in full swing, with orders guaranteed until the end of the year and expected revenues of over 10 billion yuan.
Innovation and Efficiency
The system implemented by Ronma Solar, with the support of Jinhua Mobile, allows real-time monitoring of production data, optimizing quality control and preventive maintenance. This system, which integrates the physical and digital worlds, offers complete automation of production processes, in addition to issuing alerts in the event of failures, allowing for more efficient management.
Since implementing 5G in October last year, the company has seen a 5% increase in production line efficiency and a 30% reduction in maintenance costs over the lifecycle of its equipment. This success is the result of the combination of automation and digital management provided by 5G, which has enabled the company to achieve 100% digitalization of its production equipment.
Promising Future with 5G
Ronma Solarโs โโrecognition as the winner of the โ5G+ Advanced Manufacturingโ competition reflects its commitment to innovation and digitalization. The company, which is already a prominent industrial project in Zhejiang Province, continues to invest in the research, production and sales of solar cells and photovoltaic modules, and explores new opportunities in the construction of solar power plants.
The smart factory is a clear example of how the industrial internet is transforming manufacturing, not only in the energy sector, but also in other sectors such as consumer goods and equipment.
With the support of 5G technology, companies are accelerating digital transformation, improving the efficiency, quality and traceability of their products, and boosting competitiveness on a global scale.
As the potential of 5G is explored, projects like Ronma Solar's will serve as a benchmark for the digitalization of other sectors, promoting innovative industries to raise the level of intelligence of companies.
