The National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI) is investing heavily in courses for the future of electric mobility. With a contribution of R$30 million, the institution is preparing to train professionals which will take care of the maintenance and other needs of electric vehicles in the coming years. This strategic investment comes in response to the growing demand for electric cars, driven by environmental concerns and changes in legislation.

Brazil is witnessing a significant increase in the adoption of electric vehicles. According to data from the Goiás State Traffic Department (Detran), more than 5.534 electric or hybrid vehicles are already circulating throughout the state. With the majority of these vehicles still within their warranty period, it is only a matter of time before the demand for maintenance and repair services begins to increase significantly.

Electric vehicle improvement course

SENAI is preparing for this scenario. The institution plans to launch a comprehensive course that will cover everything from the installation of electric stations to vehicle maintenance, including battery replacement and electrical system maintenance. With classes scheduled for Goiânia, the course will last approximately one week, with 20 to 30 places available. This course is ideal for professionals who already work with vehicles and wish to specialize in the electrical field.

Investment in infrastructure and equipment

The course is still in the design phase and should be launched in six to eight months. According to Anderson Ferreira dos Santos, technical supervisor at SENAI, a significant investment in infrastructure and equipment will be necessary to offer quality training. “We are making an investment of R$30 million in Goiânia alone. We need to modernize our structure, acquire the necessary cars and other equipment”, explained Anderson.

Challenges of maintaining electric vehicles

Although electric vehicles are less complex compared to traditional vehicles, they require special care with the batteries. Workshops need to be prepared to handle these components safely, including actions such as having a separate box to avoid accidents and having a partner for emergency situations.

With the investment in the electric vehicle maintenance course, SENAI is positioning itself as a leader in preparing professionals for the era of electric mobility. This course will not only meet the growing demand for maintenance services, but will also help boost the electric vehicle market in Brazil. If you are a professional who wants to stand out in this growing sector, don't miss the opportunity to participate in this innovative course offered by SENAI.
