The Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro), one of the largest public information technology companies in Brazil, announced the release of a public competition notice that provides for the opening of new IT positions for technology analysts. In total, there are 602, where successful candidates will have an initial salary of R$ 9,025.73, plus benefits.

The agency emphasizes that 361 are open competition positions, meaning they are intended for candidates who do not fit into any quota. 121 IT positions are aimed at people with disabilities, while the remaining 120 are reserved for black individuals.
The opportunities are spread among Serpro units in Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Belém, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre, Fortaleza, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and São Paulo. In addition to on-site IT positions, there is a possibility of working remotely.

The position requires a completed degree in the technology sector. Degrees in other areas will be accepted, provided there is a postgraduate qualification in technology with a workload of at least 360 hours.
According to information from the notice, the technology analyst position required in the Serpro public competition has various possible assignments, such as developing software, monitoring services, testing systems, planning projects, among others.
The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with an initial salary of R$ 7,848.4 plus a bonus of R$ 1,177.27, totaling R$ 9,025.73. Those approved for the IT positions in the public competition will also enjoy excellent benefits such as health insurance, supplementary pension, dental plan, childcare assistance, profit-sharing, and transportation assistance.

The application period for the Serpro public competition is available from April 24 to June 7, 2023. The notice can be accessed on the page of the organizing entity, which in this case is the Brazilian Center for Research in Assessment and Selection and Promotion of Events (Cebraspe).
Those interested in applying and competing for the IT positions must pay a fee of R$ 100, with the possibility of exemption for those who prove difficulty in affording the amount. The selection process includes the application of objective and applied knowledge tests, all of which are qualifying and eliminatory in nature.
The objective evaluations for specific and basic knowledge are scheduled for July 23 of this year. These will be conducted in all state capitals of Brazil plus the Federal District.
As for the applied knowledge evaluations, they are scheduled to take place on August 26 and 27 of this year. They will cover topics related to the responsibilities of the position, such as information security, software development, databases, and cloud computing.
