The Ceará government is combating labor shortages: a new project offers hundreds of free IT course vacancies in 2024. Find out how to participate in IT courses and enter the job market this year!

The Government of Ceará, through the Ceará State Development Agency (Adece) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL Ceará), is accepting applications for the new class of Generation Tech project. The initiative, which aims to combat the labor shortage, will open free IT courses for low-income young people from Ceará.

How does the IT course program work?

500 places are offered for free IT courses in Training and Web Development, focused on training Full Stack Web Developers. The IT courses are completely free and online, and aim to combat the growing labor shortage in the IT area. Information Technology (YOU).

It is worth mentioning that these IT courses were developed with the objective of training professionals to work in the job market with high mastery of web technologies. Specifically speaking, the training prepares the individual to work on creating web pages, applications and others.

According to Dana Nunes, superintendent of IEL Ceará, the vacancies are a unique opportunity for young people from all over the state, especially those from low-income backgrounds, to enter an area of ​​extreme demand in the current market. The initiative to combat the labor shortage aims to train qualified professionals who can enter a sector that is only growing.

According to Danilo Serpa, president of Adece, technology is one of the essential pillars for the state's economic development. With the free IT course program, the aim is to prepare these young people for the challenges of an increasingly digital market, promoting inclusion and social development.

Interested parties must be between 18 and 29 years old and must also be in the low-income economic profile, with CadÚnico or presenting a declaration of poverty + Declaration of exemption from income tax, duly signed. The candidate must have completed high school and be a resident of the state of Ceará.

How to enroll in free IT courses?

Registration is open until September 30th and can be done directly through the Geração Tech project website. On the page, you will need to fill in some information such as Full Name, Email, Whatsapp and age.

It is also mandatory to have time available to access IT course classes and to be present daily on the teaching platform. In addition to having access to a computer or notebook within the specifications and with internet access, as per the Notice.

It is important to highlight that there will be objective tests with a minimum score of 40% on average for approval of registrations. There are 10 Portuguese questions and 10 questions from the basic computer skills and logical reasoning test.

The opening class for the free IT courses will take place on October 14. During the course, participants will receive comprehensive training, with content focused on the latest technologies and practices in the sector.
