The mega solar energy project, the result of a partnership with Sicoob, occupies more than 5.000 square meters of the roof of Cooabriel's coffee warehouse.

One of the Partnership between Sicoob and Cooabriel is already bearing great fruit with the inauguration of one of the largest clean energy generation complexes in Espírito Santo. This extraordinary project, led by two important cooperative entities – the Ciclos cooperative platform, Sicoob ES and cooabriel – symbolizes a significant leap in the transition to renewable energy sources, not only in Espirito Santo, but in Brazil as a whole.

Joining forces for Sustainable Energy

Located in São Gabriel da Palha, the ambitious solar energy project occupies more than 5.000 square meters of the roof of Cooabriel's coffee warehouse. This unprecedented project marks the Partnership between Sicoob and Cooabriel, with the objective of creating one of the most magnificent energy complexes in the state, capable of producing up to 750 kWp, enough to power around 300 homes.

Recently announced at the Cooabriel Agribusiness Fair, the project is a pioneering initiative in the production of energy distributed among cooperatives in the concession area of Empresa Luz e Força Santa Maria (ELFSM). The energy credits generated will benefit the associate members participating in the project.

Sicoob and Cooabriel unite for a more sustainable future

Cleto Venturim, leader of Ciclos and Sicoob Sul-Serrano, says that the investment fits perfectly with Sicoob's commitment to promote a more responsible consumption of natural resources.

This Partnership between Sicoob and Cooabriel demonstrates a clear direction towards a more sustainable future, offering cooperative members a more cost-effective, innovative and environmentally friendly alternative.

As renewable energy are becoming increasingly important as the world strives to combat climate change. In Brazil, eighth largest producer of solar energy in the world, this trend is growing rapidly. In this context, the Partnership between Sicoob and Cooabriel in Espírito Santo is notable, with Sicoob ES already using solar energy produced by its own cooperative to power its branches.

The Cooperativa Ciclos and Energia Verde platform

As stated by Gustavo Bernardes, executive at Ciclos, Sicoob ES and the cooperative platform already have green energy projects in four municipalities in the state. This initiative, driven by Partnership between Sicoob and Cooabriel, aims to connect cooperativism to an increasingly green future.

The Ciclos cooperative platform, the result of a partnership with Sicoob ES in 2019, was created with the mission to innovate in offering products and services to its members, including telecommunications and green energy.

This Partnership between Sicoob and Cooabriel has been fruitful, resulting in the installation of ten photovoltaic generating units in Conceição da Barra to serve Sicoob branches in EDP's concession areas.

A Sicoob project together with Cooabriel is proving to be a powerful force for the promotion of sustainability and innovation in green energy, significantly contributing to a cleaner and greener future.
