Sooro Renner, the national leader in the production of proteins derived from whey, announced the construction of a new industrial complex in Francisco Beltrão, in the southwest of Paraná.

With an investment of over R$680 million, the new factory will have the annual capacity to produce 40 tons of Lactose Infant Formula, 12 tons of Whey Protein and 6 tons of butter, doubling the company's current production capacity.

Economic impact and job creation

According to state government, the installation of this industrial unit represents a significant milestone for Francisco Beltrão. According to the company, 350 direct jobs and 1.650 indirect jobs will be created, totaling 2 new job opportunities.

The complex will be built on an area of ​​340 thousand square meters, with completion scheduled for 24 months.

National production of infant formula

Currently, the Brazilian infant formula market is mostly supplied by imported products.

With the new plant, Sooro Renner intends to produce Lactose Infant Formula in Brazil, following strict control standards, positioning itself as one of the most modern factories in the sector in Latin America.

Expansion in the sports nutrition market

In addition to producing infant formulas, the company will expand its Whey Protein Concentrate production capacity, meeting the growing demand in the sports nutrition and fitness markets.

The inclusion of butter production in the company's portfolio is also a highlight, a result of the incorporation of Concen Lácteos, one of the largest manufacturers of the product in the country.

Strategic choice of Sooro Renner in Francisco Beltrão

The decision to install the new unit in Francisco Beltrão was strategic.

The city is located between the other two plants in the group, in the West of Paraná and in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, and is located in the heart of one of the regions with the largest milk production in Brazil.

Furthermore, the inclusion of the Southwest in the new state highway concession foresees significant investments in duplications and improvements in access, facilitating logistics and the flow of production.

Future perspectives

This is Sooro Renner’s second major investment in Paraná.

The company's plant in Marechal Cândido Rondon was inaugurated in 2021, after an investment of R$120 million for the production of non-caking permeate.

With the new unit in Francisco Beltrão, the company reinforces its commitment to the state's economic development and plans to invest more than R$1 billion in Paraná by 2027.

Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior highlighted the importance of the investment for the region: “Sooro Renner is one of the world leaders in the production of these derivatives and, once again, chose Paraná to install its industry.
