Smart Fit is the 5th largest network of sports gyms in the world and the largest in Latin America, with more than 800 units in Brazil and 10 other countries in the region, in addition to having more than 1,5 million registered customers. Created in 2009, headquartered in São Paulo, it is the low cost chain of the Bio Ritmo Group, owner of the Bio Ritmo gym chain.
The opportunity discovered by the gym network led to the opening of a new network of low-cost gyms the following year. The first Smart Fit units were opened in the cities of São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro.
The initial concept created for the network is based on affordable monthly fees, areas larger than 2000 m² and a reduced number of instructors and employees. At the end of 2018, the network had 378 units and an application that automatically assembles workouts based on the activity pace of each student.
