Starting at 9 am this Monday (19), the city of São Paulo will host Sudeste Export, a forum that brings together the main names linked to the port, infrastructure, logistics and multimodality sector. During these two days there will be lectures and panels that will be broadcast via Zoom. Registration for the debates is free and it is only necessary to register through the address http://bit.ly/InscriçõesSudesteExport receive the access link and watch.
The event will take place in a hybrid form. A restricted group of participants will be at the Tivoli Mofarrej, in the Avenida Paulista region, from where the panels will be organized and the images generated. Some speakers and panelists will participate in person, and others remotely via Zoom. The public will be able to follow everything online. The first day features a technological panel, presentation of sponsors and opening ceremony, which will be attended by the national secretary of Ports and Waterway Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Diogo Piloni.
“The port sector is at the center of the national logistics strategy. And it has been undergoing transformations, since it is a constant theme of the Legislative, Executive, regulatory agencies and is attracting consistent investments. Just to quote a number, the privatization program for port areas should attract R$ 10 billion in investment by 2022. This will have a direct impact not only on the sector, but on the development of the entire country. And it is because of this that we will be meeting to hear from experts and authorities ways to improve logistics and infrastructure. We are very happy to be the facilitators of these debates”, says Fabrício Julião, CEO of Forum Brasil Export and director of Una Marketing de Eventos, which promotes the forum.

Curatorship
The formatting of these forums relies on the essential role of Brasil Export advisors. There are around 150 personalities of notorious knowledge in their areas, predominantly port logistics and foreign trade, who help to define the most relevant themes and indicate names to participate in the debates.
The president of the National Council of Brasil Export is port consultant José Roberto Campos, one of the main references in the sector in Brazil and abroad. When commenting on his expectations for the event, Campos recalled the success of the regional editions held so far and emphasized that, in its origin, the Brasil Export Forum was called Santos Export because its discussion base was the port on the coast of São Paulo, the largest port complex From Latin America. And he is optimistic about the amplification of this debate for the entire region.
“ Sudeste Export will not only be linked to the port of Santos but to all ports in the Southeast, as well as its land and sea logistics. We will undoubtedly have a high quality event with very important people participating. In this way, we can gather what we need to do to offer better logistics and find out what solutions this group of specialists will be able to propose to the federal, state and municipal governments. I'm sure it will be another great success”, said the president of the Board of Brasil Export.
In São Paulo, the host of Sudeste Export will be Henry Robinson, president of the Sudeste Export Council.
Regional Forums on Logistics and Port Infrastructure
Sudeste Export is one of the regional forums of Brasil Export, which will have a large national meeting on the 23rd and 24th of November next, in Brasília.
In turn, the Brasil Export Forum is the new format of a previous event, restricted to debating Santos port issues and which had 17 editions. Brasil Export's vision, as its name implies, is to broaden the debate on port infrastructure and logistics issues for all regions, respecting their local differences and specific modes. Before the regional forums, 100 lives were held between April and September 2020, during the period of the new coronavirus pandemic.
Parallel to this action, and even before the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, Brasil Export became a reference in the sector due to its constant presence in the virtual environment, providing relevant content on its information channels, whether on the website or networks, such as Facebook, Instagram or Linkedin.
This is the third regional forum held this year. The other two were Norte Export, on the 28th and 29th of September, in Macapá (AP), and Sul Export, held between the 5th and 6th of October, in Curitiba, Paraná. Two other regional forums should take place later this year: Nordeste Export, between the 26th and 27th of October, in Recife (PE); and Centro-Oeste Export, scheduled for the 9th and 10th of November, in Cuiabá (MT).
The forum's mobilization power can be translated by the participation of 8 of the 9 governors of the North, in addition to authorities, big businessmen and members of the federal government, such as the National Secretary of Ports and Waterway Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Diogo Piloni.
Brazil Hack Export
As a broad forum for debates on the various aspects of logistics and infrastructure, the Brasil Export Forum also encourages the creation of new technologies and innovations that may contribute to finding solutions for the sector's shortcomings. For this, it created Brasil Hack Export, a hackathon marathon whose principle is to unite the logistics chain with creatives. At each Brasil Hack Export regional meeting, a stage of this technological marathon is held, which proposes a challenge and offers a cash prize to the winner of the stage. The top three are selected for the final, which takes place together with the National Forum, in Brasília.
In the case of the Southeast stage of Brasil Hack Export, the challenge is that of railways. The solution pursued is to improve the efficiency of communication in wagon operations at Portofer, the company that manages the railroad within the port of Santos. The challenge counts on the participation of the innovation areas of Rumo, MRS and VLI.
