CNOOC announced that production began in Campos Phase II Development Project Lufeng Oilfields.
The project is located in the east of South China Sea, with an average water depth of around 136 meters. The complex comprises the Lufeng 8-1 oil field, the Lufeng 9-2 oil field and the Lufeng 14-8 oil field.
A new drilling platform was built to support the extraction of Lufeng Oil and a total of 14 development wells are scheduled to come into operation, of which 13 will be production wells and one well will be dedicated to water injection.
