Rio de Janeiro collects more

Rio de Janeiro is the only state to exceed the Billion figure and the city of Maricá is the one that raised the most in Brazil

According to data from the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels), the state of Rio de Janeiro is the clear leader in the collection of royalties and Special Participation (PE). In line with the investment that Petrobras will make in the Campos basin.
This year alone, from January to July, R$ 7.130.734.157,57 were transferred to the state and according to the agency's projection, the government of Rio de Janeiro could receive R$ 80,6 billion by 2023.

The state of Rio de Janeiro was the only one to exceed the figure of billions, achieving an isolated leadership, as the second place is the state of São Paulo, which received R$ 851,4 million.
Royalties are financial compensation owed to the Union, the states, the DF, and beneficiary municipalities by companies that produce oil and natural gas in Brazilian territory: remuneration to society for the exploitation of these non-renewable resources.

See how the ranking was, from January to July, of collection of the main states in relation to royalties and Special Participation (PE) referring to oil exploration:

Rio de Janeiro: BRL 7.130.734.157,57
São Paulo: BRL 851,4 million
Espírito Santo: BRL 762 million
Bahia: BRL 221,4 million
Rio Grande do Norte: BRL 132 million.

Regarding the cities that raised the most in the first seven months of the year, the current ranking is as follows:

Maricá: BRL 841,3 million
Niterói: BRL 718,1 million
Macaé: BRL 344,8 million
Campos dos Goytacazes : BRL 304,8 million
Rio de Janeiro: BRL 190,3 million

On site ANP there is a tool that simulates how much each state will receive in the next five years, and the state of Rio de Janeiro should receive in 2020, about R$ 10 billion, but in 2023 this value drops to R$ 8,7 billion.
The ANP is based on the production volume of the wells, net income, oil reference price, exchange rate and progressive rates.

Royalties are paid monthly by all producing fields and PE is a financial compensation paid quarterly only to fields with high production volume and profitability.
