Since the installation of the Industrial Park, Goiana has annually presented gains in participation in the economy of Pernambuco. According to a study carried out by Ceplan – Consultoria Econômica e Planning, the municipality moved from the 13th position in 2010, with 0,83% of the state’s GDP, to the 4th position in 2019, reaching 5,17% of Pernambuco’s GDP. The Pole's area of influence, made up of 13 municipalities, had an annual growth rate of 6,3%. About 21% of employees are residents of Goiana and 50% from other surrounding cities.
