A Transformative Course for Educators
A Training for the World of Work is a course developed specifically for high school teachers, with the aim of enabling them to develop new skills and abilities established by the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).

This course, divided into two theoretical modules, aims to create reflective conditions so that educators can work on the diversity of cultural experiences in the classroom, aligning students’ present and future life projects.
Mec Course Structure and Certification
The course, offered completely free and online, has a 180 hour workload, divided into four modules, including an assessment module.
The certificate will only be made available after a minimum period of 45 days and all assessment activities have been carried out, with an average equal to or greater than 6,0.
According to the MEC, this is a way to ensure that participants really absorb the content and are prepared to apply the knowledge acquired.
Module Details
Module I – Introduction to the World of Work: Exploring Opportunities
In this module, participants explore the principles of technical-professional education, life project and skills for the world of work. Furthermore, the course addresses how to develop scientific initiation projects to solve societal problems, as well as notions about the creative process and social innovation.
Module II – Careers and Professional Choices
Here, the focus is on the career planning, identity, values and social responsibility, as well as strategies for planning the future. The concepts of entrepreneurship and sustainability are presented as forms of social innovation. Topics such as teamwork, governance and conflict resolution are also discussed.
Methodology and Assessment
The course methodology is self-instructional, that is, there is no direct tutoring. Participants use a virtual learning environment that favors individualized study and the construction of autonomy.
Each participant can establish their study routine, taking the course at any time and in any location. To be approved, it is necessary to complete all modules and their fixing activities, in addition to the activities of the assessment module, with a minimum grade of 6 points.
Target Audience and Enrollment in Mec Courses
The course is aimed at teachers, teachers, managers and administrators of Basic Education. Interested parties must meet the specific requirements to obtain the Specialization Certificate, according to the Secondary School Teacher Training Program/SEB/MEC. Certificate of Specialization
In addition to the certificate of completion, there is the possibility of obtaining a Certificate of Specialization through the use of studies in other improvement courses promoted by the High School Teacher Training Program/SEB/MEC.
The requirements include having completed specific improvement courses with 180 hours and having a bachelor's degree or higher education, carrying out teaching or management activities in public or private educational institutions.
