Subsea 7, a Specialist in Subsea Installations Based in Norway, Secured an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) Contract for a Two-Phase Subsea Development Worth Over US$ 750 Million, According to Experts.
The company will be responsible for the installation of subsea equipment in 2,000m water depth. The first phase of the project was recorded in the order book for the second quarter of 2023, while the second phase, expected to begin in 2024, still needs to be approved by the client.
According to the initial scope of work, Subsea 7 will be responsible for approximately 37 km of internal flowlines, 47 km of control umbilicals, and associated subsea equipment at water depths of 2,000 m.
The contract also includes additional FEED (Front End Engineering Design) studies, as well as possibilities to expand the scope of work. Subsea 7 noted that the project management and engineering will be led by the local office and that offshore activities related to the initial scope are expected between the second quarter of 2025 and the third quarter of 2025.
