Subsea7 onesubsea vacancies contract

Joint venture between Subsea 7 and OneSubsea has won a contract with Fieldwood Energy to work in the US Gulf of Mexico

The contract is for the development of the deepwater Katmai field in Green Canyon 40 of the Gulf of Mexico, where OneSubsea will supply subsea production systems (SPS) and Subsea 7 will supply subsea umbilicals, riser and flowline systems (SURF). Subsea 7 on Tuesday said the contract was "considerable" but did not reveal the value of the deal. Subsea 7 defines a sizeable contract as being between $50 million and $150 million.

The scope of Subsea 7 includes project management, engineering, procurement, construction and installation of 40 km of tube production line (12” outer tube and 8” inner tube), along with subsea structures, tie-ins for the Tarantula platform and pre-commissioning activities.

OneSubsea's scope includes the supply of three trees (with options for two additional trees), connectors, valves, topside controls, flying terminals and umbilical termination assemblies.

Co-located teams from both organizations will support project management and engineering in Houston, Texas. Offshore installation activities are scheduled for 2019.

Craig Broussard, Subsea 7 Vice President, Gulf of Mexico, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Fieldwood on this new deepwater development in the Gulf of Mexico and look forward to working with Fieldwood's talented technical team on this project. This is the first step in what we hope will become a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship.

“This award also builds on the Subsea Integration Alliance's reputation for providing customers with quality-focused project execution, optimized production and improved cost efficiency. By bringing together the complementary technology and expertise of Subsea 7 and OneSubsea, we are able to offer our customers greater certainty of return on investment and greater profit potential from assets.”
