SunnyHUB finalizes R$ 12 MM fundraising through the assignment of receivables in search of the democratization of solar energy
With the resources, the company wants to invest in the purchase of more panels to increase its customer base
SunnyHUB, a Brazilian subscription solar energy company, has just finalized a R$12 million fundraising through the assignment of receivables. The unprecedented achievement is the first, validated by B3 since the approval of the MP, in 2022, which regulates this type of transaction. In pursuit of transforming the renewable energy market in Brazil, the company founded in 2018 has stood out for its innovative business model, offering solar energy by subscription, a business model that is on a growth path. With the capture they must invest in modernizing the business, in the purchase of more photovoltaic panels and, consequently, in expanding the customer base.
According to data from Absolar (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), the number of users in the shared generation model went from 43, in 2015, to more than 11 in 2022. This increase follows a period in which the electricity bill started to weigh more in the pockets of Brazilians. A survey carried out by Abraceel (Brazilian Association of Energy Traders) shows that the electricity bill rose more than twice the inflation between 2015 and 2021.
Unlike conventional energy utilities, SunnyHUB allows Brazilian consumers to have access to a more sustainable, predictable and cost-effective source of energy. The company installs equipment, at no additional cost for installation, in customers' homes and charges a fixed monthly fee, which is on average 25% cheaper than the cost of conventional energy.

The company's objective is to democratize access to solar energy in Brazil and lead the transformation of the energy market towards a more sustainable, clean and accessible future. The idea is to make solar energy a competitive and accessible option for consumers, reducing dependence on thermoelectric plants and contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Since its founding, SunnyHUB has experienced rapid growth, expanding its presence in several Brazilian states and cities. The company already serves hundreds of customers and has established a strategic partnership with Instituto Lactec, one of the largest private science and technology institutes in Brazil, to develop innovative technologies and add more services and benefits to its customers.
