Through notice no. 402/2024, IFMG is offering five vacancies for the position of visiting professor at its Bambuí campus.
The goal is to strengthen its teaching, research and extension programs, with a focus on postgraduate studies. Vacancies are available in the areas of Veterinary Medicine, Computing, Biology, Physical Education and Philosophy, and applications are open until September 29, 2024.

Opportunity at IFMG for qualified academics
Hired visiting professors will have a weekly workload of 40 hours, being able to work both in person and in a hybrid way, according to the institution's needs.
The minimum requirement to apply for one of the vacancies is that the candidate has had a doctorate for at least two years.
However, if the doctorate degree is not proven, the candidate may participate as long as he/she has recognized competence in teaching and technological research, assessed by the Selection Committee.
This selection process seeks to hire professionals who contribute to the advancement of teacher training programs and scientific and technological exchanges.

Selection process steps
The IFMG selection process will consist of three phases. The first involves the submission of documentation, which will be eliminatory in nature.
In the second phase, candidates will undergo an evaluation of their Curriculum Lattes, which will be classificatory. The last stage will consist of an oral presentation of the project, which will be both qualifying and eliminatory at the same time..
In the event of a tie in the final score, some specific criteria will be used to break the tie between candidates.
The first criterion is age: candidates aged 60 or over will have priority.. Other criteria include the highest score in the oral presentation of the project and in the evaluation of the curriculum, and, lastly, the oldest age of the competitors.
Applications and deadlines
Registration for the IFMG public competition begins at 00:17 on September 2024, 23 and runs until 59:29 on September 2024, XNUMX.
The process will be carried out exclusively through the official website of the institute. The registration fee is R$50,00, but candidates registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) may request exemption., according to the rules of the notice.
