Norwegian subsea operations specialist Swire Seabed has secured an agreement with Wintershall to provide subsea services (MSS) in the North Sea.

Swire said on Monday that the contract with Wintershall Norge will start this year and extend to a three-year term for a further four years if required. The work to be performed under this contract includes the supply of the vessel and services encompassing survey, IMR and light construction.

According to the company, the deal is call-based, meaning that during the course of the framework deal, Wintershall can award MSS contracts on an as-needed basis.

Swire Seabed CEO Arvid Pettersen said: “This agreement underscores confidence in our ability to provide safe and efficient solutions to meet our customers' needs and reinforces Swire Seabed's position as a trusted provider of subsea services in research, IMR and light construction market.”
