At ROG.e 2024, TAG presents the BioTAG Hub, a solution for connecting biomethane producers to the natural gas transportation network, expanding the energy mix.

At ROG.e 2024, TAG unveiled the BioTAG Hub, a new platform to facilitate the connection between biomethane producers and the national natural gas network. This advancement promises to diversify the country's energy mix, encouraging the use of biomethane in different sectors. During the event, TAG, the official sponsor, will be present with its experts in 12 lectures at the ATGás stand and will participate in 2 other panels at throughout the fair.

The BioTAG Hub aims to promote the expansion of green gas in Brazil by providing a sustainable and efficient alternative to conventional gas. This initiative is crucial for the energy transition, expanding access to biological methane, an essential product for reducing carbon emissions. Thus, the energy sector gains an important tool for strengthening renewable gas in the national energy matrix.

Transportadora Associada de Gás (TAG), one of the sponsors of ROG.e – Conectando Energias, will showcase an innovative proposal during the event to facilitate access for biomethane producers to its extensive gas pipeline network. This system covers 10 states in the North, Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil, benefiting several markets along its routes.

BioTAG Hub Initiative

Named BioTAG Hub, this new product will be presented on Tuesday (24), at 17:30 pm, at the stand of the Association of Natural Gas Transportation Companies by Pipeline (ATGás), located in the Kobra Pavilion. Biomethane is fully interchangeable with natural gas, and its use can triple the national supply of this important energy source. The creation of these biomethane hubs integrated into the TAG network will allow producers to access new markets, offering greater flexibility for production variations, more safety, and new alternatives to supply customers, contributing to an expansion of the energy mix of the country, essential for the energy transition that is underway.

In addition, TAG will participate in 12 other lectures at the ATGás booth, addressing various relevant practices and initiatives in the natural gas market. Among the topics to be discussed are the CO2 emissions reduction program, career opportunities in the sector, technological challenges in asset management, among other topics relevant to the energy sector. These topics are crucial for those interested in the future of the Brazilian energy mix and for those who wish to better understand the role of biomethane and renewable gas in this transition.

TAG CEO Participation

In the official fair program, TAG CEO Gustavo Labanca will be present at several events. He will participate in 'Strategic Talk 5' on September 24th, at 09:15 pm, on the Petrobras Stage. In addition, he will be present at Special Session on Natural Gas entitled 'The importance of the transport link for the gas market opening process' on 26/09, at 11:20 am, in Sala Galp. TAG has the natural gas transmission network The longest in the country, with approximately 4.000 km that crosses around 200 municipalities in ten Brazilian states. Of this extensive network, 3.700 km are located in the coastal region of Brazil, covering states such as Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, while the remaining 800 km are in Amazonas.

TAG's agenda at ROG.e

In addition to the BioTAG Hub, Gustavo Labanca, CEO of TAG, will also participate in two lectures at the ROG.e congress. On Tuesday (24), from 15:50 pm to 16:20 pm, on Petrobras I Stage, he will discuss studies on the gas storage project that the company is developing in partnership with Origem Energia, with the presence of Origem CEO Luiz Felipe Coutinho. On Thursday (26), from 11:20 am to 12:20 pm, Labanca will participate in the Special Session on Natural Gas in the Galp Room.

Below is the full agenda for TAG's participation in ROG.e. On Monday, September 23, from 14:14 p.m. to 45:XNUMX p.m., the ESG PANEL will be presented on emissions reduction initiatives and Corporate social responsibility, among other complementary topics. On Tuesday, September 24, the focus will be on the Strategic Talk on storage studies and, subsequently, the panel on biomethane, highlighting its importance as a green gas.

More about TAG and its investors

The company has a 50% stake in the company, which is a leading renewable energy company in Brazil, operating in several areas of the energy sector, and CDPQ, a global investment group that also holds a 50% stake.
