The Sesi unit in Itu, SP, is accepting applications for free programming and robotics courses. There are limited spaces available for children and teenagers aged 8 to 15. Check out the details and how to register!

The Social Service of Industry (Sesi) is offering an incredible opportunity for children and teenagers who want to explore the world of programming and robotics.

With registration open for free courses, the Itu unit, in the interior of São Paulo, invites young people aged 8 to 15 to immerse themselves in technological knowledge through practical and interactive classes.

This is a unique chance to learn programming logic, logical reasoning and scientific thinking skills.

Sesi's free courses are divided into Modules 1 and 2. The first module is aimed at beginners, while the second is focused on deepening knowledge acquired in the first module, requiring the student to have already completed the initial phase.

Registrations can be made until November 17th for some Module 2 classes and until December 5th for others, with parents or guardians required to register online or in person.

Structure and objectives of the free Sesi robotics course

The main objective of Sesi's free robotics course is to provide students with practical and theoretical learning that goes far beyond conventional classrooms.

In Module 1, students will work with Microsoft MakeCode software, a block-based programming editor, and will use the Micro

to create your own projects. This module is perfect for those who are taking their first steps in programming and want to understand the logic behind codes and technology.

In Module 2, the activities are more advanced and include the use of tools such as Eletroblocks, in addition to deepening students' knowledge of Micro.

This second module allows students to develop new skills and competencies in educational robotics, preparing them for more complex and interesting challenges in the world of programming.

Each module and each class offers specific content that will prepare students for different levels of knowledge in the area of robotics and programming.

How the selection process works

To guarantee a place on the free Sesi course, it is important that parents or guardians register as soon as possible.

Places are limited and registration is done on a first-come, first-served basis, which makes it essential to register in advance to ensure that interested young people can participate.

After completing the form, the person responsible can monitor the confirmation of the place and check the details of the schedules and modules.

Sesi informs that, in exceptional cases, in-person service will be provided by prior appointment.

The course offers all the necessary teaching material, developed by the Micro Foundation and adapted by Sesi itself, ensuring that students receive complete support for the activities.

Where to sign up

Registration for the free Sesi robotics course can be done in two ways: online, through the official website of the Itu unit, or in person at the Sesi School Secretariat in Itu.

For those who opt for in-person service, the contact numbers are (11) 4025-7321, (11) 4025-7323 and (11) 4025-7324, in addition to the support email. ce031@sesisp.org.br
