TechnipFMC announces two new major contracts with Equinor to provide offshore services on projects in the Norwegian Sea

The two offshore service contracts will support the oil company in the subsea production of fuels in Campo de Irpa and Verdande, in the Norwegian Sea. TechnipFMC will support Equinor in the coming years as it expands its customer base in the market.

The maritime services company TechnipFMC has even more optimistic projections for the global market in 2023. It announced the signing of two new contracts with the oil company Equinor, for the supply of offshore services. They will be used in the projects of production oil company submarine in the Irpa and Verdande Field, located in the Norwegian Sea. The deals are valued between US$75 million and US$250 million.

The multinational oil company Equinor has taken another step towards optimizing its operations in its subsea production project in the Norwegian Sea. 

It signed two important new contracts with TechnipFMC for the use of the company's offshore services in its fuel exploration projects. 

The first of these covers the supply of Equinor's subsea production systems for the Irpa Field, located in the Norwegian Sea. 

In this way, TechnipFMC will provide services for the installation of subsea trees, control systems, structures and connections.

TechnipFMC President of Subsea, Jonathan Landes, commented on the new contract, celebrating the signing. 

“This project will use our standardized production system, which has been designed to meet the specific demands of the Norwegian continental shelf. The award demonstrates Equinor's confidence in our technology, quality and delivery capability. We are delighted to continue to support them,” he said. 

New contracts will ensure a strong addition to the company's business portfolio in 2023

The second of the contracts signed with Equinor provides for the use of TechnipFMC's offshore services in subsea production at Campo de Verdande, also located in the Norwegian Sea.

According to the companies, the new agreement provides for the installation of trees and underwater structures, control systems, connections, tools and installation support.

“We are delighted that Equinor is once again relying on our technology,” highlighted Landes.

Although it has not yet disclosed the exact value of the new contracts with Equinor, the projections are valued between US$ 75 million and US$ 250 million.

In this way, the new TechnipFMC agreements guarantee the industrial company a significant addition to its business portfolio for the year 2023.

The company's offshore services will make a positive contribution to Equinor's subsea exploration of the Norwegian Sea over the coming months.
