TecPar, a company dedicated to internet solutions, inaugurated a solar plant in Rio Grande do Sul. The solar energy project has nearly 2 solar panels and promises to reduce emissions by 270 tons per year.
O solar energy sector is advancing more and more in Brazil and yet another solar plant is about to come on stream. A solar plant with 1.976 bifacial solar panels was delivered by the company Tecpar in the municipality of São Borja, in Rio Grande do Sul, this Thursday (24). The development that was installed by the company HCC solar energy has a total area of approximately 3,3 hectares and has the capacity to generate 1.000 kWp of power. Initially, TecPar made an investment of R$ 7 million to build the plant.
Solar plant will use almost 2 solar panels to reduce the emission of 270 tons of CO2
According to TecPar, all the electricity produced with the help of the solar power plant will reduce the emission of more than 270 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere. With painéis solares, it is estimated that the solar plant in São Borja will produce enough energy to power the homes of a thousand families per month.
The company also pointed out that the location in Rio Grande do Sul was chosen due to the excellent incidence of solar radiation and also because it is easier to connect to the supply network. According to data from National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) that were updated until the beginning of the morning of last Wednesday (23), Rio Grande do Sul currently has 16 solar power plants in operation in the centralized generation mode, which are known as large-scale plants.
