The 336-meter-long CMA CGM Paraty container ship is the third biofuel-powered ship to call in Brazil. This Chinese shipbuilding giant is an example of innovation and sustainable technology in the maritime sector.

CMA CGM Paraty It's a modern ship, designed to reduce environmental impact. The container ship is one of a series of six twin ships powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), ordered by French company CMA CGM. In addition to Paraty, two other ships from the same series, the CMA CGM Bahia and the CMA CGM Búzios, were also launched recently.

These ships are built in China, in high-capacity shipyards, employing thousands of workers. The construction of each container ship involves enormous logistics and resources, highlighting the strength of Chinese shipbuilding.

One of the main features of the CMA CGM Paraty is its exhaust gas recirculation system.

This innovative technology reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 28%. Furthermore, the ship has a wind deflector on the bow, which improves aerodynamics and increases energy efficiency.

The ship arrived in Brazil to operate on the route between the Far East and the east coast of South America. It can transport up to 13.200 TEUs, a measure equivalent to 20 feet in length of a container, standing out as one of the largest and most efficient ships operating in the region.

China's high-tech container ship leaving port is a spectacle of precision

Tugboats assist with undocking, pulling and pushing the ship so it can navigate through the port channel. This process is carefully coordinated to ensure the safety and efficiency of the operation.

The arrival and operation of ships like the CMA CGM Paraty are crucial for Brazilian foreign trade. Companies specialized in logistics, such as Conexo, ensure that cargo is transported efficiently and safely, boosting the local economy.

Chinese shipbuilding continues to lead with technological innovations and operational efficiency

The ability to build and launch container ships like the CMA CGM Paraty demonstrates China's strength and importance in the global maritime sector.

CMA CGM Paraty represents the future of sustainable navigation, combining high technology with environmental efficiency. The operation of this ship in Brazil highlights the importance of innovation in shipbuilding and the commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to a greener future in maritime transport.
