With the conclusion of the long-term tests in Mero by Petrobras and Parceiras, everything indicates that job openings will soon arise
The Libra field makes important progress, the consortium that explores the area completed the long-term test in the Mero field, which is located within the block. These tests began in November 2017, using the FPSO Pioneiro de Libra. During this period, the producing well related to the platform reached a production of 58 thousand barrels of oil (BOED).
According to Petrobras, operator of the Libra field, it considered the activity as a great result in ultra-deep waters.

Also according to the state-owned company, the technological effects achieved during the TLD will enable the accelerated implementation of up to 4 definitive production systems in pounds in the coming years. Each will have the autonomy to produce up to 180 barrels of oil per day.
The Early Production Systems (SPAs) resulting from other Mero wells will now be operated by the FPSO Pioneiro de Libra. The current gas injection well will be replaced by another positioned closer to the producing well in the subsequent stage. At the end of this phase, the vessel will be unanchored and moved to a new location in Mero, continuing the SPAs program.
The Pioneiro de Libra vessel has the capacity to process up to 50 thousand barrels of oil daily and 4 million cubic meters of associated gas. Whoever leads this consortium is led by Petrobras, with a 40% stake and a partnership with Shell which obtains 20%, Total the 20% and the Chinese CNPC which holds 10% and CNOOC Limited the last 10%.
