Automotive innovation: hydrogen engine reaches 410 HP. Water injection technology redefines efficiency
The water motor is running for first time in history. It has 400 HP of power and 6.500 RPM. With the quest for active decarbonization, engines are one of the main focuses.
For years there has been talk about the need to achieve sustainable mobility. When we mention future technology, we never think about fossil fuels, but about cleaner alternatives like electricity or hydrogen.
In the search for cleaner transport, the possibility of burning H with combustion engines is being considered. Its operation is more inefficient than the current method (the fuel cell system), but it maintains much of the essence of this type of propellant, with an engine sound similar to that found in gasoline engines.

A water engine arrives that surprises us with its power
This is what the first European water engine aims to do. In fact, it is the first European hydrogen engine that has a trick: water injection, which is why we call it that. It comes from the hands of AVL Racetech engineers, specialists in the development of technologies for competition and equipment suppliers from Formula 1 to NASCAR.
As communicated on their website, they created a 2-liter turbocharged combustion engine that develops 410 HP of power at 6.500 rpm and delivers an engine torque of 500 Nm between 3.000 and 4.000 rpm.
These figures are typical of turbocharged gasoline engines of similar power that, until then, were above propellants that burned hydrogen. To achieve this data, they warn that it is vital to inject hot water into the intake system.
Using injectors, they spray water into the intake air collector. According to their testimony, this makes a more homogeneous ignition of the H possible and prevents premature auto-ignitions or detonations.
The water engine is a reality, but not as you thought: it boasts 400 HP of power
It is now essential that the piece completes its testing period and undergoes an in-competition examination. Its implementation in a realistic field will be vital to verify to what extent we are facing a reliable system or not.
Your results will determine whether you can see it as a large-scale project or a good idea written on paper. The company believes that this is an interesting option in addition to the already known fuel cell. His argument is that it is viable to convert gasoline combustion engines to hydrogen and this should not involve additional costs.
The water engine is not something that new
Although it seems like an innovative and futuristic presentation, we have seen this concept before. BMW has already worked with this system. Then, they sprayed water into the collector to lower the temperature of the air that “landed” in the combustion chamber and exercise control over these premature auto-ignitions generated in response to excessive temperature.
The Germans argued that this system increased power and reduced consumption. By having a higher density of cold air, the oxygen content in the combustion chamber increased and allowed a higher average pressure during combustion, resulting in an increase in power and torque. It even reduced the volume of nitrogen oxide particles, which are highly harmful to humans.
For now, we have to wait and see how far this new water engine with 400 HP of power reaches. Meanwhile, alternatives like the impossible engine that could be used in cars continue to arrive.
This exists, engineers know that human beings are intelligent enough to do their “workarounds” and drive their vehicles, the truth is that now they will want to show the world hydrogen engines because they know there is no way to hide it anymore, and also People will continue to seek knowledge about hydrogen.
The person who invented it was a man from Espírito Santo, he was the first to invent the water engine, after they discovered the video, the man disappeared! Then a man from Paraíba, in short two Brazilians, disappeared in the woods. There was even a video on YouTube.
On the channel, on YouTube there is the video, the name of the channel is Não adivinho.
This has already been done here in Brazil, and when the company comes from the grid, they make a call like this.
