Saudi Arabia is investing massively in the construction of Trojena, a futuristic ski city, costing US$500 billion, located in the middle of the desert. This project is part of the ambitious plan to transform the country's economy, diversifying its sources of income and promoting luxury tourism.

By mid-2026, it will be possible skiing, skating or practicing snowboarding on real snow on top of a mountain, in one of the hottest deserts in the world, thanks to the construction of Trojena. Part of the Neom project, Trojena is one of the four main areas of this new futuristic city.

Despite its desert location, the chosen region, in the Sarwat Mountains, offers milder temperatures and even snow on the peaks during winter.

The construction of Trojena aims to not only attract tourists, but also serve as an entertainment hub for the future 9 million residents of Neom Central Line

Trojena is being designed as a unique tourist attraction, with a ski village, luxury resorts, retail stores, restaurants and a variety of sporting activities.

Trojena will be made up of seven main parts: The Vault, a ski village, an observatory, a lake, a nature reserve, the Bow and a village of luxury mansions.

The Vault, a vertical village between two mountains, will be an advanced technological structure, with villas, luxury apartments, a digital hub for innovation, and many other amenities.

The 3 km long artificial lake will feature an underwater hotel, offering stunning views of both the valley and the lake. The ski village, located at an altitude of 2600 meters, will have a series of futuristic domes interconnected with ski slopes that can be used throughout the year, including in summer.

Saudi Arabia is committed to diversifying its economy and become a global leader in tourism, technology and sustainability. The construction of Trojena is a significant step in this direction, promising a unique and innovative experience for visitors from around the world.
